1st Surgery

Landen went in on Friday April 3rd to get tubes put in to his ears to help resolve the ear infection that he consistantly gets and to drain the fluid that has been affecting his hearing or I should say LACK of hearing. The procedure was only about 10 minutes but we had to check in to the hospital at 6AM (WAY TO EARLY FOR ME) . The procedure was at 830am and we were out of there about 11 am. The Dr. told me that the fluid/gunk in Landen's ear drums was the consistancy of AIRPLANE GLUE!!! so yeah crazy thick fluid that explains why he dosent listen to me. LOL!!! After Landen came out of recovery he was a little fussy which is to be expected and the amazing nurses gave him a popsicle to make him feel better. The nurses also gave him a soft teddy bear and we named it Hugsy. Later that day Landen was reacting to small noises that he can now hear like tapping your fingers on the table or quiet coughs. He is much more alert and talkative now. Landen is a very happy baby but now that his ears dont hurt him all the time and he can hear the is probaly the happiest baby out there and gives more kisses and hugs in one day than anyone knows what to do with. I am so proud of him for being so good at the hospital and the surgerie staff said he was unbelivably good. I took a few pictures while we were waiting to go in to the opperation room. Kassey went with Landen and I to the hospital so that I did not have to miss work and so Landen could be comfortable at his home during recovery. So to Kassey THANK YOU for all your help.
